DENTAL TECHNOLOGY AND MAGIC!

DENTAL TECHNOLOGY AND MAGIC!

Art lets you make real something that is within you and asks to be released in the form of colour, light and shape in many different ways and tones.

It is the way to express a state of mind and there are many representations that history has handed down from Leonardo da Vinci, to Picasso and Van Gogh.

I am lucky enough to know many artists that every day create masterpieces with their minds and their hands, who instead experience a situation that is moving backwards.

Their art is not inspired by a mood, but is often oppressed by the bad compromise between execution speed and the low price that they will have to accept for something that they do no admit is still a second choice.

They want their masterpiece to be the best they can do, fruit of their experience and skilful use of materials and equipment which they have paid for with countless efforts, for the love of their work and the passion in taking care of it to their best every day.

Making a tooth is not only a work of art; it is not a painting or a sculpture that will live of its own light and for those who make it every time it is a different challenge.

It is a unique piece that with meticulous attention has to fit into a puzzle which is the smile of someone who trusts your hands, although they may not know it, and who, no matter how happy they are with the result, will never truly understand the satisfaction of the person who made that tooth and really experienced it:

the DENTAL TECHNICIAN!

You may be a patient, a dentist or a dental technician.

  • If you are a patient

now you know that that little piece, the tooth that you think cost you so much, incorporates the work of multiple professionals who work and struggle every day to improve and give you the best smile, to make you feel sure of yourself in your everyday relationships.

Make sure it comes from one of them!

  • If you are a dentist

who is trying to save always remember that a tooth that is cheap, proposed by who knows what kind of technician from who knows what country, might NOT quite be what you and your patient expect and what YOUR PATIENT WANTS FROM YOU.

It can cost you a lot more than the small difference you think you are saving.

  • If you are a dental technician:

and you are like many I know, do not change!

Keep working as you always have and do not chase low cost fads, defend your professionalism with your teeth (yours, and if it needed those that you make) and continue to improve it because if I were your patient I would want the jobs that you do.

Learn to communicate!

You are an artist! Too good to follow trends and sometimes too weak to assert yourself.

Learn what you need but do not forget the magic of who you are!

And be young mind!
